Jean Ads

Click on images for larger views

In my advanced design class, I created a jean company that is attempting to bridge the gap between the high-end/fashionable jeans and the tree-hugging/environmentally friendly ones. Its name is Rebel with a Cause. I cannot decide on a tag-line for the ad with the woman subject, it's among these three ideas:

Mother Earth, we've got your back...
Primping Mother Earth...
Standing behind Mother Earth...
Giving Mother Earth a makeover...

Lemur Logos, Final Cut

Im trying to decide on colors and at the same time, Im trying to narrow three final logo ideas down to one. As I said before, my audience consists of young, intelligent, hip adults residing or visiting the town of Boston. The store would sit on Newbury Street, a sophisticated and heavily populated shopping area of Boston.

Branding Project

In my communication systems class we are branding our own companies. Out of hat, we each picked an animal, number, mineral, and two letters. Based on those results, we were to research and build concepts for a new brand. I picked Lemur, 22, Flint, and QT. After my first round of thumbnailing, I decided on an optics/eyeglass boutique. Lemurs have large inquisitive eyes, and carry fun and playful characteristics. The other three components I chose helped me to build a logo or a mark that will help reach my audience: young, intelligent, hip adults residing or visiting the town of Boston. The store would sit on Newbury Street, a sophisticated and heavily populated shopping area of Boston.

Out of my 100 different thumbnails, I am working on perfecting 10-12 of them and will ultimately narrow it down to one. As I finish a rough of each, I will post them on my blog. Thoughts?

I've decided on beer

I couldn't decide if this label was suitable for a wine bottle. I was trying to make the Barefoot Wine branding a little more creative and fun for its audience. Since it's cheap, it appeals to the 20s and 30s crowd which likes a more playful label. I thought of Gnarly Head and how cool its label is, and how likely I am to buy it just because of that. Unlike Gnarly Head, I think most would find out with Barefoot not to judge a book by its cover. Barefoot isn't exactly the most tasty wine.

After much debate, I decided this creative label would look better as a beer label. My teacher is nice enough to let me create Barefoot's brewery for them. Im going to create three different labels, one for summer, one for winter, and one for spring.

Most of the typography has been extremely tweaked by me or it is my own handwriting.
